Lewis Hamilton Holding His Title

Formula One, or F1, champion Lewis Hamilton showed support for his girlfriend, former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, in the West End musical "Cats." Scherzinger stars in her first West End play in the said Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical. She plays the role of Glamour Cat Grizabella.

Hamilton couldn't hide his pride of his girlfriend in the photo he shared on Instagram. "Went to see the Cats musical for the first time last night, and my lady @nicolescherzy blew me away," Hamilton captioned his photo. "Such an incredible talent she is, as well as the rest of the cast #Grizabella #JellicleCats #CantGetThatSongOutOfMyHead #SoGood #NicoleIsAmazing #London #GoSeeIt."

According to the Daily Mail, Hamilton and Scherzinger left the London Palladium together holding hands after her performance on Dec. 9. A source told the British webloid that Scherzinger received a standing ovation at the end of the show. She also reportedly got the biggest cheers from the audience after her amazing rendition of "Memory."

Scherzinger, who has been playing the role of Grizabella since Dec. 6, told Daily Mail that her role was the part that she was born to portray and added that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Scherzinger further said that she can relate to Grizabella's character because she has experienced what it felt like to be broken in a lot of ways. Scherzinger said she knows what it feels like being an "outcast" and finding a place to fit in the society like Grizabella. The former "X Factor" judge said people often don't see what lies inside her.

The F1 superstar had flown out of London en route to Los Angeles after watching his girlfriend's stellar performance in Cats, Mirror reports. Hamilton, who won the 2014 world championship, was spotted wheeling his own baggage and clutching his boarding card and passport as he strolled through the Heathrow airport.

Hamilton and Scherzinger began dating in November 2007. The pair had a brief split in 2010 but reunited, and has been inseparable ever since. Scherzinger, who is seven years his senior, was the lead singer of the girl band Pussycat Dolls.
