LG rolls out the official Android 4.4 KitKat update among several devices. Eligible devices include LG G2, G3, G Pad 8.3, G Flex, Optimus G Pro and Optimus G. Know the schedule and where the update will be available.

LG G2

Android 4.4.2 KitKat for LG G2 is available from Verizon Wireless. It has build version VS98024A which can be downloaded via Over the Air update. Key enhancements for the device include the following:

- Change in network and battery indicator colour to white

- Several accessibility improvements

- New Location Settings

- Improved Visual Voice mail

- Premium Visual Voice mail.

LG G3

According to a report from AndroidPit, Android 4.4.2 KitKat is now available for LG G3 and the rollout started in Europe. Firmware update history has been posted at mylgphones.com and the software appeared in Italy.

LG G Flex

Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for LG G Flex is available from three network carriers in the United States. LG G Flex subscribers in the U.S. can obtain the new firmware from AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.

AT&T official change logs:

- New full screen mode

- Restyled status and navigation bars

- Battery performance improvements

- Enhanced processing speed.

Sprint official enhancement change logs:

- Wi-Fi calling

- HD Voice Icon

- Google Patch on GMS and security

- Update email signature.

T-Mobile did not post the features and changes of the Android 4.4.2 KitKat but customers can download and install the firmware.

LG G Pad 8.3 LTE

LG Pad 8.3 LTE tablet variant is now receiving an official Android 4.4.2 KitKat update from Verizon Wireless containing up to seven features. The update also contains the following six bug fixes:

- Battery icon colour changes from blue to white

- Immersive Mode for apps and games

- Print services for HP ePrint, Google Cloud Print and printers in the Play Store

- Multi-user Mode for user accounts

- Accessibility Settings improvements

- Knock Code feature.

Issues addressed by the new firmware update include fixes for "cannot connect to server" error, QPair app permissions, SIM card works properly when connected or disconnected to network or Wi-Fi and more.

LG Optimus G Pro and Optimus G

LG Optimus G Pro official Android 4.4.2 KitKat is available, and AT&T begins seeding the new firmware. Here are the changes of the new Android software:

- Restyle status and navigation bars

- New full screen mode

- Stronger security

- Battery performance improvements

- Google Cloud Printer support

- Enhanced processing speed.

LG Optimus G is also eligible for an Android 4.4.2 KitKat update. According to LG Brazil's Facebook account, the smartphone will receive the firmware in August.
