LG added several impressive features on G2 such as KnockOn and a new battery technology. However, some users have reported bugs and glitches which affect various functions on the device. Here are tips on how to resolve them before visiting the nearest service centre.

Digital Trends and The Droid Guy sorted out the most common issues found on the LG G2 smartphone and they presented the easiest possible ways to resolve them.

Microphone Glitch and Sensitivity

This glitch is uncommon for smartphones including LG G2 but the cause may be related to sensitivity.

Solutions:

1. Disable the Noise Suppression feature which may affect the quality of the call.

2. Use compressed air to blast off dust and dirt stuck inside the microphone hole.

3. Check for a new software available. LG may have a bug fixing patch for the problem.

Switch From Wi-Fi to Mobile Data

You may suffer issues on mobile data connection whenever the device disconnects from Wi-Fi.

Solutions:

1. Turn on the Airplane mode by pressing and holding the Power button. Turn off the Airplane mode and wait till the network coverage refreshes.

2. Update the smartphone for possible solutions provided by LG.

Headphone Problems

Headphone issues can range from unusual crackling audio output or loss of connection to the smartphone.

Solutions:

1. Make sure the connection between the device and the headphone is stable. Loose wiring may cause audio disruption.

2. Audio crackles may occur if the headphone wiring has been disturbed.

3. Check if the headphone port is still in shape. Disfigured audio port can result to poor reception.

4. If the problem is hardware related, seek out help from a technician.

Lags, Stutters and Sluggishness

Poor performance is commonly caused by low memory and affects everything on LG G2. Cache files and leftovers from removed apps may also clutter on the RAM.

Solutions:

1. Go to Apps > Settings > General > Storage > Cached Data > Ok. It will clear cache files from apps.

2. In case the cache wiping step did not optimise the performance, you need to do a factory reset. Go to Settings > General > Personal > Backup and reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone > Erase everything. Remember to make a backup first before performing a factory reset.

3. Remove widgets, reduce the home screen panes and uninstall apps you don't use anymore.

4. Install a different home launcher such as Apex or Nova from the Play Store.

5. Update the software version of your smartphone.

Unresponsive Touch Screen

Sometimes, the touch screen may become unresponsive to your touch or zoom in and out randomly. First, use the Quick Memo app and draw a straight line to determine if the screen is functioning well.

Solutions:

1. Switch off the display screen then turn it on again to refresh any unusual touch behaviour.

2. For the keyboard, switch to tap style or voice dictation inside of the Swipe controls.

3. If the issue occurred after installation an app, uninstall it immediately.

4. Update the software of the device.

5. Report it to your network carrier or retailer as it may be a faulty model.
