Google and LG are reportedly collaborating anew for an October 2013 release of the more powerful Nexus 5.

Android-centric blog site AndroidAndMe.com published what it claims as the prototype and specs of what the Nexus 5 would be if indeed LG will end up taking up the honours of the building again the next Google signature smartphone.

The same report indicated too that other manufacturers are lining up to attach their brand names to the handset that will replace the Nexus 5 this year.

No names were given out but earlier reports pointed to Motorola, a strong candidate owing to Google's ownership of the firm, and Sony, the former Japanese electronic giant craving to produce a hit gadget.

However, it appeared LG came out with the first concept that Google could seriously consider. The render and hardware features provided by an unnamed source to Android And Me seems a work in progress at this point but they were compelling enough.

The Nexus 5 as apparently envisioned by LG could prove as the most power-packed Android phone to come out this year judging from the attributes listed by the same report.

It will rollout on Q4 2013 as a Full HD 1080p smartphone with a 5.2-inch OLED screen display with main powerhouse to be made of a Snapdragon CPU that cranks up into blazing speed of 2.3GHz. The Qualcomm chip will rely on a 3GB of RAM that would ensure snappy operation of Google's new vanilla Android - Key Lime Pie.

The camera mix is 16MP at the main shooter with the sensor supplied by OmniVision that is capable of capturing 4K video clips while the front cam is equipped with a 2.1MP that allows for the recording of 1080p vids.

Google wants to deliver the next Nexus device on three storage configurations, the report said, so we can expect the Nexus 5 to enjoy sufficient space that spans the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants. It was also hinted that for memory expansion, Google remains convinced that users must tap the Google Drive service thus it's safe to assume that no physical card slot will be provided for the Nexus 5.

Among the new lures for buyers are eye-tracking front cams and touch-free manipulation of the device, two features that Samsung has introduced with the Galaxy S IV last week. The new Nexus 5 will also be LTE-capable and its battery is rated 3300mAH.

No definite pricing and case colour options at the moment but on this department, Google is likely to carry on with the model it chose last year - affordable tag price and classic black and white shells.
