When the whole word was shell-shocked at Miley Cyrus' raunchy performance at the MTV awards, her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth chose not to attend it at all. Now reports are emerging that Hemsworth was reportedly "mortified" by the sexy romp that Miley put on display Sunday night.

According to Radar Online quoting an unnamed source, the 23-year-old Australian actor, was really disturbed by her raunchy performance and may end their four-year romance. There have been reports earlier that the couple's relationship is not going in the right direction.

"Liam really does care about Miley, but her racy new look and sort of ghetto attitude isn't exactly what he signed up for," a source told the Radar adding that "It's pretty much over" between them.

"Her VMA performance absolutely mortified him and he couldn't be more embarrassed. He doesn't really see anything sexy about what she did on stage ... It's pretty much over," the radaronline.com said quoting its unnamed source.

Liam has earlier made it clear that he does not believe in sharing his personal life on social media platform and is no fan of "shirtless selfies."

"On Twitter I don't share anything personal. I try to keep as much of my personal life to myself, and I don't feel the need to go out and show the world what's happening in my life every second," the actor told the Mirror in an interview earlier this month.

"I think it's a good chance to connect with fans in a different way and give fans an inside look on films that you do," he explained. "But it's very new to me and it scares the hell out of me. No shirtless selfies!"

However he has chosen a girlfriend who is completely in contrast with his thinking and does exactly the opposite. Miley loves to post sexy pictures of herself on Instagram and Twitter and now her recent raunchy performance has just added fuel to the fire.

Miley stripped to a skin coloured latex underwear set and twerked against Robin Thicke's crotch, who performed with her onstage for a duet of his single "Blurred Lines." She brought a foam finger to her performance which she suggestively rubbed on her private parts.

However, there is no stopping for the "We Can't Stop" singer who seem to be unaffected by her behaviour. Miley has also gone ahead and recorded a duet dedicated to twerking with Justin Bieber and rapper Lil Twist.

The song was leaked online Thursday and features Miley singing: "I came up in this party time to twerk."
