Liam Hemsworth shares how Chris Hemsworth paid their parent's debts
Chris Hemsworth is currently one of the highest paid Australian actors, according to Forbes. Little we know, the superhero Thor faced and defeated the most abhorrence of adversaries: debt.
In an interview with the Independent, "Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth recounted how his sibling, Chris, astonished their parents by paying off their debts. Liam said his brother Chris rang their dad one day and instructed him to examine their financial balance — what his father found was sufficient cash to pay off every one of the obligations they had gained for the duration of their live.
“He [his father] called my brother Chris back and said: ‘I don’t know how to feel. Since I left home I have had debts and I thought I’d be paying them off until I died and have this weight hanging over me, and now to have them completely cleared.’ They are so happy now and able to spend more time with us, I would love to be able to do something for my parents like that,” said Liam.
The Hemsworth brothers are currently an ambassador for the Australian Childhood Foundation. They joined their parents who worked with the association to help children experiencing trauma. Now Liam and Chris are utilising their current careers to give the battle an additional support.
Talking to Collider about the worst jobs he ever had, Chris used to clean breast pumps before he was given a minor role in an Australian TV show, “Down Under.” He is the middle son of an English teacher and a social services counselor.
Liam is a committed surfer during his younger years and took up ground surface work before pursuing his acting career. Liam first appeared in a famous Australian soap opera “Neighbours,” where his brother Luke Hemsworth also starred.
Chris will be seen in the upcoming film “In the Heart of the Sea” scon Dec. 1. He will also start filming “Thor:Ragnarok” in June 2016 together with Mark Ruffalo as Hulk.
“Thor: Ragnarok” is expected to be released on Nov. 3, 2017 in Australia.
