Alcohol Abuse Can Lead to Memory Loss, Dementia: Researchers

Over-consumption of alcohol in middle age can lead to memory loss and dementia in later life, said researchers from the University of Exeter Medical School in England. The study was published in The American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry.

Women Who Begin Dieting Young Are More Likely to Become Obese by 30: Study

The United States is the most obese country in the world with 34% of the adult population classified as obese, according to the latest OECD survey.
The research that is going to be presented at the Annual Meeting of the Society for the Study of Ingestive Behavior (SSIB) found that the age at which a woman begins to diet is directly proportional to the age at which she would experience negative health outcomes. This means if a woman starts dieting at a very young age, there is more probability of her experiencing negative health consequences earlier in life.

After two US doctors contracted the contagious Ebola virus that is spreading in Africa, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) issued a mid level travel advisory for the health officials. Airline workers at 20 major US ports have been trained to identify the symptoms and quarantine those they suspect may have contracted the disease. The CDC informed the media that there was "no significant risk" of an Ebola outbreak in the United States.

Google is in the hope of expanding the size to a thousand more. This project will give scientists an accurate picture of what a healthy body looks like and can help medicine move from treatment to prevention.
