A recent study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition revealed that the Paleo diet is extremely beneficial for weight loss, it being two times more effective as other diets for promoting weight loss. As a part of the study, 70 obese, post menstrual women were followed for two years. A few were given the low-fat diet to follow, while the others were assigned a low-carb Paleo diet.

Film Maker Kieth Famie Inspired by the Death of a Cancer Patient

A 24-year-old cancer patient Maire Kent inspired the Michigan filmmaker Keith Famie for his documentary. Her October funeral served as its centerpiece. Famie is a 10-time Emmy-winning filmmaker. Famie said, "I met her by chance, actually. I went to the hospital because I was having some chest pains and we ended up having the same doctor. Our conversations took off from there."
