Lily-Rose Depp lands major film role, also features in Vogue Paris

The teenage daughter of Johnny Depp, Lily Rose Depp lands in a major acting gig. The 16-year-old follows her famous father’s footsteps and signed a film titled “The Dancer” opposite French singer-songwriter and actress Soko.

The 19th century drama centers on the life of modern dance pioneer Loie Fuller, played by Soko. Depp plays the role of Isadora Duncan, a character close to Fuller who “grew up in poverty and became a dance prodigy, quickly achieving worldwide fame,” Variety reported. The star cast of the flick also include Gaspard Ulliel, Mélanie Thierry and François Damiens. Filming will begin on Sept. 28, Elle UK reported.

Depp’s doe-eyed daughter, who stepped into the spotlight at a Chanel show in New York City earlier this year, has featured in Vogue Paris’s 95th anniversary issue. Pictures from the editorial were shared on Instagram Thursday that featured Depp looking something like a Victorian doll.

The teen has been captured by revered duo Inez & Vinoodh, and was given her beauty makeover by make-up artist Aaron de Mey. Lily-Rose pulls a grunge look in tear-smudged mascara and dishevelled blonde hair. She also wears nude lipstick.

There are three pictures featuring the aspiring star, one of which is black and white. She is wearing cat-eye liner look as she is pictured wearing jeans and a frilly turtleneck shirt. Another picture shows her wearing a black leather jacket. She wears mascara and kohl in one eye, Fashionista reported.

The French fashion bible, features several celebrities on the covers starring top models Gisele Bundchen, Kate Moss, Christy Turlington and Kendall Jenner. It will hit newsstands on Sept. 29.

In May, there was an announcement that the model would feature in a film opposite Natalie Portman called “Planetarium.” The film is a 1930s drama in which Lily Rose will play the role of Portman’s sister. The same month, she also celebrated her 16th birthday.

She made her catwalk debut at French fashion house Chanel’s Paris-Salzburg show in New York in April. The teen model walked the catwalk along with Kendall Jenner, who was the showstopper for Karl Lagerfeld and her mother Vanessa Paradis. Lily Rose is the latest muse of Lagerfeld and has also featured in Chanel’s eyewear campaign.
