Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan is due to check in a rehabilitation facility today in the US. But the facility this time is not the Malibu-based rehab centre Promises, where Lohan was previously lodged, although located in the same area.

TMZ reports that Lohan wanted a facility which is nearby to make it easier for friends and family to visit her. The undisclosed rehab will not give Lohan any special treatment, according to TMZ, which said the facility would not be bending rules for the actress.

Lohan will reportedly live in the rehab until the star's next hearing next month.

Last Sunday night in the US, Lindsay Lohan surfaced and made her first public appearance since she was released on jail two days before.

The star went to visit The Dream Center, an outreach center in Los Angeles, California Echo Park neighborhood, accompanied by two friends, her sister Ali and mother Dina.

Sources quoted by E! Online said Lohan's manager is a supporter of the facility and encouraged the star to pay a visit. Lindsay had a meet-and-greet with the children and their families in the center, signed autographs and gave purses to some of the teenage girls in the facility.

After the visit, Lohan posted on her Twitter page that she had a nice time in The Dream Center, and felt blessed.
