Lindsay Lohan used to be the darling of Hollywood, until she came across several mistakes that cannot be undone. However, by the looks of the recent Playboy holiday issue with LiLo on the cover, it looks like she's slowly climbing her way back up.

Or is she?

The December issue not only contains LiLo's photos, but nude photos that Playboy allegedly paid one million dollars for. As the former darling of Hollywood bares it all, are people really paying to see her fully naked body?

"The Lindsay Lohan January-Fabruary Double Issue is breaking sales records," tweeted Hugh Hefner, founder and owner of the great men's magazine about the sales records of the magazine, even though it encountered problems such as Lohan's photos leaking to the Internet before it was actually released.

Hugh Hefner started the institutional magazine in 1953, after working as a copywriter for Esquire. The first cover for the undated first issue featured Marilyn Monroe. He then created the lifestyle of living a bachelor's life, creating a Playboy mansion where he houses all her Playboy Playmates.

"A rep for the magazine tells E! News that it's too soon to release any numbers, but 'I can tell you that sales of the issue are doing well,'" reported E! Online about the rapid increase in sales that the magazine is currently experiencing.

Even Lohan herself is pitching in marketing the magazine to boose sales.

"Playboy on stands now! I was so nervous! I hope people like it :) and pick up a copy!!! * ....xoxo," tweeted Lohan last December 11, whose Twitter page has the cover of the magazine plastered all over as a background.

Lindsay Lohan started her film debut with "The Parent Trap" at the young age of 11. By early 2000's, she gained roles from other Disney movies such as "Freaky Friday" and Herbie: Fully Loaded," but she is much more known as Cady in "Mean Girls." She has also released several albums before starting to encounter DUI and drug-oriented problems, which led to her downfall.

As fans and gentlemen alike are helping boost the sales of the magazine, many are hoping that this will really be a comeback for LiLo.
