Troubled star Lindsay Lohan wants to set up home in the UK's Lake District.

The controversial actress, who has been sentenced to jail for 90 days because of probation violation, apparently wants to leave "shallow" Hollywood and relocate in the mountainous region in North West England.

"Lindsay wants to wave goodbye to the shallow party life in LA and move somewhere more scenic," a source close to Lindsay told UK's Daily Star newspaper.

"One of the locations she's looking at is the Lake District. She thinks it could be the perfect location to get back on the straight and narrow.

"She's become obsessed with the romantic poet William Wordsworth, who lived in Cumbria."

How Lindsay will be able to afford the relocation is another thing.

Reports recently surfaced that the former child star owes debts of millions.

"She is already a couple of million dollars in debt," an insider told Fox News.

"She just isn't living in the real world."
