Lindsay Lohan may plead guilty to avoid jail term
Lohan hopes a plea deal can save her from spending a night in jail
First she wanted to undergo a lie detector test. But realizing that the results of the said procedures are not usually admissible in court, Lindsay Lohan was quick to change her legal strategy to one that she can actually try to score - - a plea deal.
According to TMZ, Lindsay Lohan now wants a plea bargain to felony grand theft to ensure that she will not spend a night in prison.
Citing an unidentified source closely involved in the case, TMZ said that LiLo is likely to plead guilty if Judge Keith Schwartz of the LA Airport Courthouse, will not put the Parent Trap star to jail.
TMZ also noted that this strategy, used in similar cases, had always worked in the past, and the judge would always likely to reduce the offense to misdemeanor.
With the felony grand theft filed by LA District Attorney’s Office, the Mean Girls star is facing three years imprisonment when convicted on the charges filed against her over a stolen necklace.
TMZ noted that another hearing is set on February for the reported plea bargain Lilo’s camp want to call on the LA court.
