All the alcohol and drug abuse from her past may be catching up with Lindsay Lohan as she was rushed to the hospital due to lung infection.

According to celebrity website TMZ, the 26-year-old young actress was rushed to the emergency room at a New York hospital. Lindsay, who is an open drug user and alcoholic during her wild and problematic years, may be experiencing the drawbacks from what she did before.

The "Liz & Dick" star has been reportedly under the weather and is suffering a case of pneumonia, but the insider claims that it was a milder case of the illness. From reports, Lindsay detoriated last night which caused her to seek the help of medical doctors,

The former Disney star was taken to the Mount Sinai hospital where she received treatments that included antibiotics. The actress was discharged shortly afterwards. Lohan who is said to be back in her hotel is currently resting and recovering.

Adding to the drama, Lindsay was arrested just last week after she allegedly left an incident after parking her car on a pedestrian lane in New York. To make matters worse, TMZ reports that the former child star was accused of hitting the knee of an unnamed man on September 19. However, Lindsay explained that she was pulling in at a low speed to park her Porsche Cayenne.

Lindsay who is trying to clear her bad reputation and regain a clean slate was booked for misdemeanor offense of leaving the scene while under investigation. The alleged victim had no signs of injuries but nevertheless was taken to the hospital.

And although the offense was misdemeanor, it could trigger her probation in her jewelry theft case since one of the laws of her probation requires her to obey the law.
