The problematic star tries to claim her lost career and sobriety as she tells in an interview that she is no longer a late night-party girl.

In her attempts to be back on track after years of being in and out of rehabilitations and court houses, Lindsay Lohan sits down for an interview on "The Today Show with Matt Lauer" and shares that her days of hardcore partying in Hollywood, New York City or elsewhere in the world is over.

Her first shot to reclaim her career would be on a guesting at Saturday Night Live on March 3 together with musical guest Jack White. Lauer asked if she thinks that the public has bounced back into trusting her again.

"I think that takes time and I think that it's actions. Because people can say things all they want, but I think I still need to go through the process of proving myself, you know, with SNL, being on time, being, you know, keeping my - can't say the word, but -- stuff together," Lohan said.

Being well known for her struggles with drugs and alcohol, she tells Lauer that she is now clean and sober but acknowledges the fact that she still needs to go through the process of proving herself.

"I went out, actually, a few months ago with a friend. And I was so uncomfortable. Not because I felt tempted, just because it was just the same thing that it always was before. And it just wasn't fun for me. I've become more of a homebody. And I like that," Lindsay revealed.

The 24-year-old was also given a second shot to revive her career as she is confirmed to play Elizabeth Taylor in the biopic movie "Liz and Dick" which will focus on Taylor's relationship with Richard Burton.

"I could see where it could be scary for people to invest in me. And I don't want people to have that reason to be scared anymore. So being able to have this opportunity with SNL and the film, I'm gonna do what I'm supposed to do, and enjoy doing it, and do it as best as I can," Lohan said.

And her third chance would be the law, which is coming into favors with her. During her recent hearing, the starlet was emotional as Judge Sautner said that she has been making good progress and if she keeps up her good works, her DUI charges would be lifted and she would be free to reclaim her life again.
