Lindsay Lohan speaks of career, drug addiction in new Vanity Fair issue
Hollywood loves a come-back kid, and coming back is what Lindsay Lohan intends to do.
With her film Machete hitting the theaters and the widely-covered release from jail, Lindsay Lohan is determined to get back to her career. She will appear the cover of October 2010 issue of Vanity Fair where in an interview she told the magazine that she wants her career back.
"I want my career back. I know that I'm a damn good actress, and it's been my passion since I was a child, and I know that when I care about something, I put 100 percent and more into it," Lohan told Vanity Fair. The actress began her career as a child model, and made her movie debut in Disney's 1998 remake of The Parent Trap at the age of 11.
"I want the respect that I had when I was doing great movies. And if that takes not going out to a club at night, then so be it. It's not fun anyway. I don't care. It's the same thing every time."
Lohan also denied abusing prescription drugs nor does she desire to do so.
"I've never abused prescription drugs. I never have - never in my life. I have no desire to," said Lohan.
She claimed that she's not that person, but admitted doing "certain things" because she was young and curious.
"I've admitted to the things that I've done to... dabbling in certain things and trying things because I was young and curious and thought it was like, OK, because other people were doing it and other people put it in front of me. And I see what happened in my life because of it."
The Vanity Fair issue containing the interview will hit the stands on September 7.
