Actress Lindsay Lohan has admitted that she has been caught up in the ‘whirlwind of youth and fame’ she described as the root of her legal troubles.

But the “Mean Girls” star also recognized the troubles she got herself into, underscoring that she is out “to take responsibility of her mistakes”.

“I’m in the clear now and I feel like, as long as I stay focused, then I will be able to achieve what I want to achieve,” Lohan promised during her TV appearance on the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno”.

Asked about her reactions on the 210-day imprisonment ruled by the LA court judge Friday following her reported violation of her probation for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace, Lohan told Leno that she found the sentence “shocking”, and made her feel ‘kind of dumb’.

Lohan was also ordered by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner to 480 hours community service, which as mandated by the court will be spent in a morgue and a correctional facility for women.
