Troubled Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan visited a mission and outreach center in Los Angeles' Echo Park neighborhood. This is Lohan's first public appearance two days since she was released from jail.

Lohan was accompanied by two friends and her sister Ali and mother Dina to spend her Sunday evening visiting The Dream Center. Sources quoted by E! Online said Lohan's manager is a supporter of the facility and encouraged the star to pay a visit.

According to their website, The Dream Center is "a non-profit outreach dedicated to helping inner-cities." The outreach center provides "food, clothing, shelter, life rehabilitation, education and job training, Biblical training and much more through our 273 ministries and outreaches."

"The vision of the Dream Center is to see thousands of hurting people come to know a new life through the efforts of our staff, volunteers, and recently rehabilitated individuals whose lives have been dramatically changed."

Lindsay had a meet-and-greet with the children and their families in the center. Lohan signed autographs as well as gave purses to some of the teenage girls in the facility.

Later the star posted a message on her Twitter account: "What a great place The Dream Center is here in LA... had a nice time there today, it's so important to give back. I feel blessed."

Lohan is set to check in on a rehabilitation facility tomorrow (Monday in the United States).
