A day after dropping a season-high 34 points, Jeremy Lin is back to the place where it all started. Lin and the rest of the Houston Rockets will visit the New York Knicks on Thursday night in a match-up between two teams still searching for their identity in the early part of the 2013-2014 NBA regular season.

The 25-year-old point guard shot 10-of-19 from the field, including 9 three-pointers and also added 12 assists against Philadelphia on Wednesday, but the Rockets still lost in overtime, 123-117 after

The Rockets were playing without superstar guard James Harden who was suffering from a bruised left foot. But his absence can’t be used as an excuse for the Rockets, which collapsed in the fourth quarter despite leading by six points with over two minutes to go in the game.

Dwight Howard had 23 points, 15 rebounds and 6 blocked shots for the Rockets, which had a total of six players in double-figure scoring.

While the Rockets struggled on the road, the Knicks took care of business away from home before their game at the Madison Square Garden. New York defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 95-91, led by Carmelo Anthony's 25 points and Andrea Bargnani's double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds.

The Knicks also got a surprise boost from rookie guard Tim Hardaway Jr., who scored 14 points (5/8 FGs) in 15 minutes off the bench.

Lin scored 22 points and dropped 9 assists in his last game in New York where the Rockets prevailed 109-96 over the Knicks.

Houston has won six straight in their series with the Knicks and has covered the spread in all of these games.
