The list of "Canada's Smartest" people has been released. The list consists of 32 Canadian personalities from different spheres with one similarity. They are the brightest minds in the country.

CBC's published the list of "Canada's Smartest" people that might have surprised many with its choice of people. While there is a common notion that the smarted people in a country are the scientists or similar people, the list here has the people who may have otherwise been considered ordinary people.

"Canada's Smartest" people include a 16-year-old student from Ontario, a Calgary fighter pilot and a North Rustico cheese salesman. These people are among the 32 contestants who are going to take part in CBC's interactive TV series. The Canadian show is apparently going to "redefine intelligence" by opting for a unique method of choosing the smartest in the country. The contestants are going to be evaluated in six categories like social, physical, linguistic and musical.

Inside Halton reported about Nader Nadernejad, the Ontario student who happened to be the youngest contestant in the show. Nadernejad, who studies in Grade 12 at Lakefield District Secondary School, is one of the probable winners of "Canada's Smartest Person" title. The episode where he would take part in was filmed in Toronto. Nadernejad said that he would not be able to disclose much about the show's result as he had been sworn to secrecy. However, he said that he had performed "pretty well" in the show. His episode will be aired on Nov 9.

Nadernejad was not aware of the show until the earlier part of 2014. He came to know about "Canada's Smartest Person" while watching "The National." It was his girlfriend who thought he should apply for the show, which he eventually did. Nadernejad said that he was quite surprised to get a call from the authorities to be a part of the show.

The television show is going to take off on Sept 28. This is going to the second season of the show. The contestants of the show come from various backgrounds. This year's contestants also include a doctor as well as a stay-at-home mother. Every week, there will be four contestants to fight it out. The final eight contestants are going to compete against one another in the finale of "Canada's Smartest Person."
