The mighty well-bred race horses took a backseat to Australian cricket legend Shane Warne and his fiancé, English model Elizabeth Hurley's steamy grope-fest at the Ascot Race last Saturday.

The gorgeous couple, who was engaged in 2011, arrived at the racecourse looking prim and proper - Hurley looking as demure in a knee-length dress as Warne in a sleek suit.

Too bad (or good, however you view it,) it wasn't the case for their behaviour as they gave the paparazzi quite a show of some serious PDA-time, kissing and whispering in each other's ear.

They were seen on a balcony enjoying a few drinks as they seemingly were lost in their own little bubble, horses and the race forgotten.

Warne even went as far as grabbing Liz's bum while giving her a nice smooch at the King George Day and Summer Garden Party.

Photos of the striking couple have been plastered all over the internet and tabloids after their antics proved to be attention-grabbing.

Though their very public displays of affections are certainly worthy of our attention, the spin king's quality time with his glass was even more out of context, as he tried to jam it in his mouth at one point as if to test if it would really fit.

Was he possibly wallowing because he didn't win in any of the races, perhaps? He kind of hinted that he win in any of the races through his tweet.

Had 2 seconds today at Ascot, both the number 8 horse, last race coming up now.... Grrrrr....

Shane Warne is no stranger to making bizarre headlines with his off-field antics rather than his accomplishments in cricket in recent years.

After the event, the Aussie player was quick to post a more decent photo of him and his bride-to-be on his Twitter and Instagram accounts:
