Anderson was photographed with the short hair when she stepped out in Los Angeles Wednesday with her ex-husband and rumoured boyfriend, Rick Saloman, as she walked casually through a parking lot. The former "Baywatch" actress looked chic and stylish in a stripped black and white dress, white sweater and a simple yet stylish white sweater.

The very casual Anderson completed the look with black sunglasses, a black handbag and also black ballet flats. She looked graceful and stylish in her make-up free avatar.

Anderson is not the only Hollywood celebrity to have opted for a short hair. This year, many actresses have traded their long locks for platinum cut including Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson. Hudson came out with a super-short hairdo at BET's Black Girls Rock event earlier while back in August Beyonce also chopped off her thick long hair for a pixie cut. However, the mommy to Blue Ivy probably did not like her decision of a very short hair cut as she is always seen with hair extensions ever since. Miley Cyrus is also another celebrity who went for a super short hair cut some time back.

Short hair is definitely in this season. It gives the person a fresh, new and younger feel and is seen as a next step in one's life. For Pamela, a short hair cut is stepping towards new era of mature life but with a younger feel. The short hair for Beyonce meant her coming to terms with the fact that she is now thirty years old and a mommy but still feels young at heart. For Miley, chopping off her long hair meant moving away from the image of Hannah Montana that she is associated with.
