Too lanky? Think again, because Andrew Garfield is bent on embodying the "Spider-Man" persona.

In a new promotional still from the upcoming "The Amazing Spider-Man", the Brit actor is shown standing at a locker with his signature smoldering look.

He's in character as high schooler Peter Parker, and wears a medium fit blue T-shirt. Only his huge guns are shown, and everything else is left to the imagination, although that shirt outlining his toned body says quite a lot.

The recent issue of Details magazine reports how the "Social Network" star earned his physique, which is through yoga and Pilates.

Also looking hot, he flaunts those arms yet again with his hands above his head, fully-clothed in a black short-sleeved Louis Vuitton shirt.

"I want to feel stronger than I've ever felt, and I want to feel more flexible than I've ever felt," Garfield shares in the magazine.

"I want to feel powerful. You don't just want to be a pack of meat - it has to be an open body. It does something to your psyche, and it does something to the way you move."

Well, even though the 27-year-old is now riding high with big profile projects like this, he certainly doesn't want to sell out.

"I hope I never blow up," he expresses while strolling down the Critics' Choice Movie Awards last January. "I hope that I have to audition for every single job I want. I hope that I'm always struggling, really. You develop when you're strong. When you're struggling, you get stronger."

Anyway, back to the "Spider-Man" reboot, the brooding actor takes his zeal from the yoga mat to the work itself.

"It's a weight," Garfield says to E! last June at the Maui Film Festival. "I see it as a great responsibility. I'm willing to take it on and do whatever I can and work as hard as I can to make sure that I don't disappoint myself really and all the dedicated fans like myself."

Joining him in this "responsibilty" is Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, who, by the way, looks stunning in blonde. Here are more released images from the upcoming blockbuster.
