The year 2014 has barely just begun and Lorde is adding another leaf in her laurel.

The 17-year-old Kiwi songstress is included in Forbes' 30 Under 30 List for this year, and is the youngest to make it in the list's music category. She was recognized by the financial publication for her rapid rise to fame thanks to her unexpected hit "Royals" and her debut album "Pure Heroine."

Forbes also reports that she is 'already cashing in with a $2.5 million publishing deal, and more is undoubtedly on the way.'

Miley Cyrus also makes it to the list due to her 'concerted plan to destroy the last vestiges of Hannah Montana and introduce Cyrus as a grown pop star,' part of which was her infamous twerking during the VMA's last August.

Making it to the top of Music category is RnB singer Bruno Mars, who was also last year's most pirated artist according to Musicmetric. He is also set to perform at the half-time show of Super Bowl XLVIII.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence lands a spot in the Hollywood category of the list, due to her numerous achievements during the past year. Some of Lawrence's achievements include her Oscar Best Actress award and the record-breaking box-office performance of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and "American Hustle."

Quvenzhane Wallis, on the other hand, was the youngest person to be included in Hollywood category of the list at age ten. Forbes cites her performance in "Beasts of the Southern Wild" which she made when she was six years old, and her upcoming film "Annie" where she takes on the role of the iconic titular character.

The Forbes 30 Under 30 list is an annual list of people who achieved so much at a young age. The editorial team consulted with experts who picked out the top 30 in 15 different categories, resulting to 450 people included in the list.
