Lorde took home six Tuis at the New Zealand Music Awards on Thursday night, winning all the categories she was nominated in. The 18-year-old international star easily crushed her competitions, happily collecting her dues, including Best Female Solo Artist and Best Pop Album.

The 18-year-old star wore light pink trouser suit with red cropped bustier to the prestigious Kiwi awards show, and was promptly rewarded with coveted trophies. She won Highest Selling single for “Royals,” Best Pop Album for “Pure Heroine,” Best Female Solo Artist,” Single of the Year for “Team,” Album of the Year and the International Achievement Award.

“I feel like I’m going to cry,” Lorde said on stage as she was given a standing ovation for winning International Achievement for the second consecutive year. “Holy crap! Thank you!”

She also spoke proudly of “Pure Heroine,” calling it her “diary from ages 12 to age 16, 17,” adding, “It is everything to me and I am so honoured to be up here.”

As viewers have noted, even though Lorde is perhaps accustomed by now to receiving prestigious international awards, including the Grammys, she appeared to be genuinely thrilled to be recognised in her home country. She even bought her older sister India and little brother Angelo on stage when she accepted the Single of the Year award.

In 2013, she won four Tuis at the same event, taking home Single of the Year for “Royals,” Breakthrough Artist of the Year, People’s Choice Award and the International Achievement Award.
