Los Angeles Dodgers star Andre Ethier on his arrival in Australia doesn't seem to be in a good spirit as he showed his concern about the outfield of Sydney Cricket Ground.

As per the report of Los Angeles Times, irritated Ethier said in a stoic mood, "Glad to be here. Fun trip. This is a good time. Great for baseball. Good for Australia. Happy to be here, guys."

The Los Angeles Dodgers are scheduled to play a two-game series against Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday and Sunday. However, the condition of the center field became an issue to the Dodgers. With the cricket pitch in the middle the field, things doesn't really match to the standard what the visitors expected.

When asked tabout his feeling, Ethier said, "I'm here to play a baseball game. I boarded a plane last night and this is where I landed. I'm here to play."

On the other hand, A.J. Pollock, Diamondbacks center fielder, described the SCG as "probably the quickest field I've ever seen."

"You go out there and throw a baseball, it just scoots off it."

Los Angeles Times reporter, Steve Dilbeck, also doesn't seem to be happy with the league. He wrote in an article, "If Major League Baseball wants this pair of games to actually spur interest and grow the game Down Under, you would think they'd make it as media friendly as possible, instead of the opposite, which is more like what they're doing."

"Unlike every other regular season game, the media are not allowed in the clubhouses prior to a game in Sydney. Neither are they allowed in after the game. They have no clubhouse access at all."

"Play your didgeridoo to that, mate."

ESPN's Mark Saxon, in one of his article took great interest on Sydney Cricket Ground but was somehow confused on Australian sporting terminology.

He wrote, "About 80,000 fans will get to see some of the best players in the world - pitchers such as Clayton Kershaw and sluggers such as Paul Goldschmidt - but the legends this place reveres compete in a different arena."

"Above centre-field, a sign reads, 'Victor Trumper Stand.' Trumper scored 214 points (runs) against South Africa in 1910-11."

"Above right-field, a sign reads, 'Clive Churchill Stand.' Churchill was a fullback, one of the greatest Australian rugby (league) players of all time."

"And then there's Stephen 'Yabba' Gascoigne. He's the fan who heckled the English cricket team so mercilessly, he became an icon. They built a bronze statue of him."

"If you look closely while the Dodgers and Diamondbacks play, you might be able to make it out. He's in the second row sitting in left-centre field, his hands cupping his mouth, a bottle nearby."
