Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant said he won't make his debut anytime soon unless he's feeling 100 percent healthy. The former MVP assured his naysayers that he's going to be better than ever the next time he steps on the court.

"Personally? I'm going to be the way I've always been. Maybe a little better. It's always interesting, it's motivating to hear people doubt me. The same guys put the nail in my coffin six years ago. They're still trying," Bryant said in an interview with Yahoo Sports insider Marc J. Spears.

Bryant said he doesn't know what date he would be suiting up for the Lakers, but one thing for sure, he will be 100 percent healthy when it happens.

"It's all in the same bucket. I'm really competitive. To come back at anything less than to play exceptional basketball is not really smart, then I'm not going to be at my top level and that makes the critics right. That [stuff] isn't going to happen," he added.

Bryant, who averaged 27.3 points, 6.0 assists, and 5.6 rebounds last season, suffered a torn Achilles-tendon injury late in the 2012-13 regular-season. Without Kobe, the Lakers struggled and got eliminated by the San Antonio Spurs in the first round of the playoffs.
