"The Lottery" Season 1, episode 6 "Sleep Deprived" was written by Timothy J. Sexton and directed by Henry Bronchtein. Here's what happened in this particular episode. The first day of "The Lottery" has started and the finalists have been briefed about the rules and regulations while being a part of it. These include living in the same house with cameras in it and not smoking. Perry is instantly liked by Gabrielle Westwood (Shelley Conn), the First Lady of the U.S. and was told that she is already part of the top 10 contestants.

Meanwhile, Chief of Staff Vanessa Keller (Athena Karkanis) told her brother George about her theory that the recent hostage crisis and the lottery are somehow connected. She believes that someone is trying to sabotage the lottery. Vanessa also met up with Randall Mitchell (Ernie Hudson), who is Nathan's (J. August Richards) father. She asked him to continue investigating Nathan's death.

Unfortunately, Darius Hayes (Martin Donovan), the Head of the Department of Humanity and the Director of the US Fertility Commission, told Randall that Nathan died because he tried to save the other diplomats there. Then, Darius decided that it's time to target the U.S. President (Yul Vazquez) so that his plans will succeed.

As for Kyle Walker (Michael Graziadei), he resorted to drinking after losing custody of his son Elvis (Jesse Filkow), who will now be living in the Department of Humanity, or DoH. He was also informed that the court case was just a set up.

On the other hand, Allison, Vanessa and James Lynch (David Alpay) discovered the shocking truth about Heliogenics and Dr. Kessler's research. They found out that the U.S. government is behind the infertility crisis all along!

The other stars who appeared in "The Lottery" Season 1, episode 6 "Sleep Deprived" include Ben Hollingsworth (Elliot Rowe), Karine Dashney (Beth), Trevor Hayes (Secret Service Sam) and Denise Watt (Carrie).
