'Lucifer' Season 2 preview video: Mum in new body teased

A preview video released by FOX gives the fans a first look at Morningstar’s mother in “Lucifer” Season 2. A previous teaser of the character had not shown Tricia Helfer’s face. The character will be the main focus of the plot this year.

The new promo video begins with Morningstar (Tom Ellis) trying to figure out who escaped from Hell. The scene is from finale episode of the first season. In this scene the protagonist realises that his mother has escaped and he was later tasked by God to find her and bring her back.

The preview video shows Helfer’s character. According to the official character description, Charlotte will be travelling to Los Angeles in order to spend some quality time with her sons. She had been a prisoner in Hell for a long time, and her real intentions of coming to earth will be revealed over time.

A set of pictures from the set previously leaked online on YVR Shoots. The pictures show an interaction between Morningstar and his skimpily dressed mother. It is not clear if this is from the premiere episode of “Lucifer” Season 2.

The leaked pictures show Morningstar almost dragging his mother towards his Corvette and the two drive off. Another set of pictures posted on YVR Shoots shows Charlotte getting in her sons car in just her undergarments, and a concerned Morningstar lends her his suit to cover herself up.

A leaked video of one of the scenes being filmed on the set, posted on the Twitter page of Willy Wozy teases the nature of Charlotte. In the scene the mother and son walk towards their car and are approached by a man. While Morningstar ignores the man after a brief conversation and walks away, his mother gets aggressive.

“Lucifer” Season 2 is set to premiere on Sep. 19. The title of the first episode is “Everything’s Coming Up Lucifer.”
