'Lucifer' Season 2 spoilers: Amenadiel will be 'heartbroken'
The characters from hell will struggle to deal with their new found human emotions in “Lucifer” Season 2, the cast members of the show teased in a recent interview. Amenadiel will particularly feel “heartbroken” after the events of the first season.
[Spoiler alert]
Speaking to Zap2It, D.B. Woodside (Amenadiel) said that his character will begin the next season with trying to figure out “why he’s been dumped” by Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt). The actor added that his character is “somewhat heartbroken.”
Talking about the relationship between Mazikeen and Amenadiel, Brandt said that Woodside’s character may be “more in love” with Maze, but there may be little reciprocity. The actress explained that her character doesn’t even know what love is at this point.
The actress pointed out that Mazikeen doesn’t want to kill Amenadiel, so “that’s good.” She said that her character is “still child-like” in many ways. The character has only just begun to experience human emotions and is developing a fondness for someone other than Morningstar (Tom Ellis).
So, to say that Maze will be seen in love with Amenadiel in “Lucifer” Season 2 would be wishful thinking. However, the report notes that since Mazikeen saved the life of Woodside’s character in the first season; their relationship can be described as “complicated.”
Maze appeared to have left both Morningstar and Amenadiel towards the end of the first season. The two brothers may spend some time in the next season to find out who freed their mother Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) from hell, and Mazikeen is the main suspect at the moment.
The introduction of the mother in “Lucifer” Season 2 is expected to shake things up for the other characters. Charlotte will travel to Los Angeles to spend some time with their sons, and perhaps help them sort out their problems. The Mother of Angels, however, may also have a hidden agenda that will be revealed eventually.
