'Lucifer' season 4 nudity will be 'cheeky' not 'vulgar'
One change the fans can expect in “Lucifer” season 4 is that there will be a lot of nudity. Lead cast member Tom Ellis, who plays the role of the mischievous devil on the show, shared some details about the changes in a recent interaction with the fans.
Netflix saved the TV series by picking it up for season 4. The new home comes with additional freedom for the producers, which they will make good use of. Speaking at the ACE Comic Con, Ellis told the fans that they will get to see his naked rear end on the show this time around, which apparently many of the fans were hoping to see, ComicBook.com reports.
“There will be multiple bum shots, certainly after a scene we shot the other day,” Ellis said.
The actor, however, emphasised that the nudity on the show will be “cheeky” and not “vulgar.” The actor pointed out that people love the show because it is suggestive, but at the same time it doesn’t go “all the way there” with the nudity.
“It’s about suggestion, its’ about getting away with it, it’s about being cheeky and not vulgar, and we’re still being careful that we aren’t going to go into vulgarity. Everything’s justified,” Ellis said.
There were a lot of restrictions on the kind of content they could show while they were on network television, Ellis explained. However, the producers are also keen on making sure they don’t abuse this new found freedom by changing the show too much.
What the fans can expect, based on Ellis’ statements, is that the show will be playful and naughty with the nudity. The devil will get to enjoy just a little bit more than before.
“Lucifer” season 4 is set to premiere sometime next year. The title of the first episode is “Everything’s Okay.”
