The low key and private funeral ceremony of L'Wren Scott was attended by Mick Jagger and other Hollywood celebrities. The funeral took place at a cemetery in Hollywood although there were some concerns about the burial place.

L'Wren Scott was found hanging in her apartment and the death is reported to be a suicide. Many believe her financial troubles may have prompted her to take the extreme step. She had made a name for herself as a fashion designer. Her designs were worn by celebrities like Ellen Barkin, Sarah Jessica Parker and Nicole Kidman.

L'Wren Scott's sister wanted her to be buried near her childhood home in Utah. The sisters were reportedly not on talking terms for more than 6 years. The two sisters apparently had a falling out after their mother died in 2008.

L'Wren Scott's brother Randall Bambrough is said to be involved with the funeral arrangements and Mick Jagger's daughter was reportedly seen hunting for cemeteries in Los Angeles. Few people were invited for the private low key event.

According to media reports Nicole Kidman, her husband Keith Urban, rock star Bryan Adams and actress Ellen Barkin attended the funeral in Los Angeles. The other Rolling Stones members were not expected to attend the ceremony.

The Rolling Stones were supposed to be performing in the Melbourne Rod Laver Arena on 28 March but the news of L'Wren Scott's death led to the postponement of their tour. The other postponed shows include Macedon Ranges Hanging Rock on 30 March, Brisbane Entertainment Centre on April 2 and Auckland Mt Smart Stadium on April 5.

"I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way.We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves," wrote Mick Jagger on his personal web site expressing his shock and sadness at the time of her death.

L'Wren Scott and Mick Jagger have been dating since 2003 and he may be inheriting her estate, which includes her multimillion New York Condo in which she committed suicide. This inheritance may however be contested by her sister.
