MAC Cosmetics has collaborated with red carpet favourite designer Zac Posen to create a makeup collection. The company announced on Tuesday that it will be the designer’s debut colour cosmetics and will be launched in February 2016.

The cosmetics giant released a teaser of what to expect on Twitter. The company took to Instagram and shared a picture with its fans. “Over the past 15 years I have learned a great deal from MAC about beauty. Fashion and beauty go hand-in-hand and I have always wanted to create a makeup collection to complement my designs and brand,” said Posen in a statement.

The designer added that the decision to work with MAC to create his first-ever signature collection was a very natural choice. He said that he wanted to keep the collection luxurious, a little mysterious and clean with star wattage, Cosmopolitan reported. Posen’s new beauty line will include eye, lip, and cheek products, a transparent finishing powder, and two brushes. Each will come in a beautiful matte greyish-green packing.

The designer who is known for his love for old Hollywood glamour, re-creates red lips, winged eyes and sparkly shadow, all done by MAC make-up artists at his shows each season. Posen’s line will consist of dark liquid eyeliners, deep red lipsticks, a purple eye palette, a bronzer/blush duo and more, WWD reported. The line is set to hit MAC counters in Feb. 2016, Vanity Fair reported.

James Gager, senior vice president and group creative director of MAC Cosmetics said that Posen’s classic designs and deft hand in draping, textures and overall femininity evoke a glamour that is modern. He added that the capsule make-up collection is the perfect encapsulation of both MAC and Posen, with something sophisticated and sexy for every woman out there, according to Vogue.

MAC Cosmetics had earlier collaborated with stars like Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, E Online reported. The beauty brand’s runway-approved limited edition collection is inspired by the “Project Runway judge.
