Madonna is known for getting embroiled in hot water because of her crazy antics or controversial acts as one of the most popular female artists of all time. Last Friday, however, the outspoken star received much flak from concerned netizens online after she posted a picture of her son, Rocco Ritchie, captioned "#Disn****". The pop singer posted a picture of her son Rocco Ritchie in his boxing gear, with whom she had with ex-husband Director Guy Ritchie in 2000. According to the singer, the N-word was used as a "term of endearment" for her 14 year old son.

Known for not bowing down to controversies and criticisms, the female pop singer, however, took down her post immediately and issued an apology to her fans. At first Madonna was adamant and rather arrogant about her post-she put up another instagram picture captioned "Ok let me start this again. #Get of my d*** haters!" Of course, fans were quick to react again, with Madonna's post making rounds over the internet, earning the ire of many netizens.

Other fans took their disappointment to the micro-blogging social network Twitter, claiming that with such influence and power, Madonna acted purely out of ignorance. Some of her loyal fans, however, came to the rescue to defend their 55 year old idol, claiming that Madonna had all the right to use the N-Word since she practically adopted half of Africa, according to Vibe.com.

Madonna has adopted two kids from Malawi, Mercy James and David Banda, both currently eight years old. She also has a daughter from her Cuban personal trainer Carlos Leon, now 17 years old Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon. Many fans expressed their disappointment over the pop singer as she should have known better-after having adopted two African kids.

The outcry over her racial slur post came after another controversial post the pop singer uploaded in her Instagram account, with a post featuring her son Rocco Ritchie again, this time holding a bottle of 94-proof Bombay Sapphire gin. The picture featuring a minor holding a bottle of hard liquor was not taken lightly by many of Madonna's followers.
