In her interview on Sirius XM’s “Howard Stern Show” on Wednesday, the pop legend shared that moving to Manhattan from the Midwest was a difficult experience at the beginning. She said that she did not know a single soul and she had to rely on herself. She was super friendly and chatty on her first year in New York because of her naiveté. He then offered to let her use his telephone on his place instead because he live just across the street.

Madonna said she was so trusting that she followed the man to his house and ended up being raped. Instead of reporting it however, she kept mum and moved on. The “Ray of Light” singer said the experience was so traumatic she did not want to add more to the trauma she experienced. She said she already been violation so she did not want to go through more. “It’s just not worth it. It’s too much humiliation.” Asked why she did not leave Big Apple instead, even with the crime she experienced, she said Michigan’s people are “basic thinking” so she could not stand going up.

On the said interview, Madonna also admitted to having secretly dated late rapper actor Tupac Shakur, three years before he died in 1996. Rosie Perez of “The View” shared that she was the one who set the two up. The fated day took place at the 1993 Soul Train Awards, where Rosie got stood up and Tupac offered to be her replacement date on the ceremony. Rosie divulged that all women at the said event were jealous of her and wanted to catch Tupac’s eye. However, Tupac was enamored only with one woman: Madonna. Madonna also caught sight of Tupac and immediately wanted to meet him. When Rosie told Tupac that, the rapper immediately told her to hook the date up.
