Madonna Swipes The Music World Once Again With Six Pre-released Numbers From Upcoming Album 'Rebel Heart'
Madonna has released six full tracks from her upcoming album "Rebel Heart" on iTunes and other online streaming services. The news came when Madonna surprisingly sent a link to six singles late last night on Instagram as an "early Christmas gift" to her fans.
The album was supposed to release by March next year. However, on Saturday, without much promotion or prior announcements, Madonna released six tracks from her album. Music lovers and fans went crazy with this treat and pushed her singles to the number one slot in multiple countries.
A few days back, 13 songs from her unfinished album were leaked online, which infuriated the singer to a great extent. Opening her heart to The Guardian, the singer shared that she feels terrorised and is still in shock by the act. She strongly feels that her personal computer has been pilfered by someone to leak out the unfinished work.
The 56-year-old iconic singer deemed the leak as cowardly theft. In a recent interview given to The Rollingstone, the singer clarified that she does not want her fans to hear unfinished raw tracks from the leaked music. To quench their thirst, the singer has herself released some early numbers for those who are in love with her music.
The six songs, which have been officially released from the upcoming album, are "Living For Love," "Devil Pray," "Ghosttown," "Unapologetic Bitch," "Illuminati" and "Bitch I'm Madonna" that features Nicki Minaj. As soon as these singles came out, the music world seems to have been overtaken by Madonna and her music. As per latest coverage from CNBC, Madonna has jumped to the number one position in 36 countries after the surprise release of the tracks. In most of these countries, her songs are in the top 10.
The Internet is buzzing with her music, too. Madonna and "Rebel Heart" were the top trending topics on Facebook and Twitter for the past few days.
Music leaking out before its official release has become quite common these days. Apart from Madonna, Taylor Swift and Kanye West had also fallen prey to such mischiefs in the past. Last year, the complete work of West's highly anticipated album "Yeezus" was leaked online, much before its official release.
