'Magic Mike 2: XXL' Cast and Plot Speculations: May Include Stripper Convention, Alex Pettyfer Reportedly Out
"Magic Mike 2: XXL" is all set to hit the theatres by July next year. The film stars Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Matthew McConaughey, Joe Manganiello and others. The shooting of the sequel would begin soon and Bomer would reprise his role opposite Tatum.
"It's legit and it's happening - and it's happening pretty soon," said Bomer about the film to USA Today, adding, "It's definitely physically demanding to go the other way, as well."
The film is a road trip where the cast lands at a stripper convention as per the reports. In all probabilities, the shooting of the film would start this fall.
"It's a real-life thing. You know, only the best of the best make it. It's a strip-off to the death... I'm making that up. I have no idea," said Bomer during Ellen DeGeneres show about the stripper convention which is speculated to be shown in the film as per ETOnline
Moreover, it is also been understood that "Magic Mike 2" is very different from the original. Tatum suggested in his interview during Comic Con that that there are very rare sequels which are poles apart from the original. The buzz has also suggested that "Magic Mike 2" would not be delving in darker themes but would be a slice of a life laced with fun and humour.
Meanwhile, in the other piece of news it has come to fore that Alex Pettyfer is not returning to "Magic Mike 2." Reportedly, during the shooting of "Magic Mike 1," Tatum had a tiff with Pettyfer and this is the conjectured reason why he is not returning to the sequel as per the New Your Post Report.
"Channing and Alex had a fight while filming. Those around them tried to mend their relationship, but Channing doesn't want anything to do with Alex," says the source to the publication.
