Yes, you read it right. "Magic Mike", a movie based on the true story of Channing Tatum is to hit Broadway. A creative team has been picked to create a sequel to the abs-trotting movie on Broadway "Magic Mike, the Musical".
Sources have given names of the creative team. Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt are the top writers for the songs--they produced songs for the multi-awarded "Next To Normal" and were part of the songwriters for the upcoming Broadway show If/Then, which stars Idina Menzel. Writing the book will be Roberto Aguirre-Sarcasa. Aguirre-Sarcasa had co-written the book Spider Man: Turn off the Dark and made it a better musical when things were starting to look bad for the show.
The producers of "Magic Mike, the Musical" include Tatum himself, Soderbergh, Gregory Jacobs, Reid Carolin and Nick Wechsler. The team is sure of the success of the upcoming Musical needless the stage display of the show.
The musical is yet to be staged and would serve as a sequel to the 2012 movie "Magic Mike" based on the early career of Channing Tatum as male stripper. The movie also featured celebrities such as Alex Pettyfer and Matthew McConaughey. You can bet your dollars that the musical would be a hit to watch as hot guys bare it all on Broadway.
