Magic Mike: Out to Wreck Marriages?
Strippers have this stigma with them that their profession is undignified or lacks self-worth. Women have always hated it when their husbands went to strip clubs and stared at those bouncing booties and breasts, shaking all the way to a lap dance. But as "Magic Mike" gets released, it will be the guy's turn to see what it feels on the other side.
Whether men or women are involved, is it absolutely possible that films like these be the cause of fights between partners?
"It's perfectly okay - and even can be good for a relationship - when couples visit strip clubs together," says Rachel A. Sussman, a relationship expert , psychologist, and the author of "The Breakup Bible" about the worries of either parties going to strip clubs.
"Magic Mike" tells the story of a male stripper that successfully separates his work life from his personal life, until a girl comes in and questions his lifestyle. Channing Tatum plays the lead role, along with Alex Pattyfer, Olivia Munn and Matthew McConaughey. Newcomer Cody Horn plays Magic Mike's love interest Brooke.
In the same interview with Celebuzz, Sussman highly suggests that men and women should try to share these sexy experiences together.
"Why should men get to have all the fun? We girls like to let loose, too!" continued Sussman with regards to enjoying the sexy side of entertainment.
Although Channing Tatum has made a name for himself as the hunky guy that can dance from "Step Up", it is also well-known that he started out his career as a stripper after dropping out of college. He then worked as a model before starting his acting career in "Coach Carter". His most recent movie "21 Jump Street" wherein he starred alongside Jonah Hill was a box office success.
Tatum, McConaughey and Pettyfer are big names that will definitely attract women to watch this movie, but with Olivia Munn and Cody Horn sharing screen time with them, their partners may need only minimal coxing before they enjoy this sexy side of entertainment - together.
