‘Magic Mike’ Sequel Confirmed, Channing Tatum Up to Play ‘Christian Grey’ with One Condition
His film "Magic Mike" has already earned big at the box office and now according to the star, a prequel or sequel is sure to be on its way.
During his interview with U.K. Glamour magazine, Channing Tatum talked about his recent movie and confirms that fans should be looking out for the next one. The actor said that producers and writers are already working on developing a script for a next film.
"Yes, yes and yes! We're working on the concept now. We want to flip the script and make it bigger," Channing said.
Channing stars in the stripper movie alongside Matthew McConaughey, Matt Bomer, Alex Pettyfer and Joe Manganiello. "Magic Mike" is currently at fifth spot in the U.S. box office.
"Joe Manganiello is a natural but Matthew McConaughey has the experience - I think it's a toss up between the two," he said. "It's awkward every time you have to be in a thong in front of anyone. I don't know how you girls do it!"
Meanwhile, when asked if he would consider playing the role of Christian Grey in the popular erotic novel "Fifty Shades of Grey," Channing said that he would if offered but under one condition.
"I'd only be allowed if my wife was Ana. She's read the books so I don't think she'd be impressed if she couldn't be Ana!" the hunky actor said. Channing is happily married to dancer and actress Jenna Dewan. The couple met on set of their 2006 movie "Step Up."
Channing and his wife are currently in London for the premier of their film. Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves, who is pregnant with their third child, were also spotted in London for the "Magic Mike" screening.
