Magic Mike XXL: Everything To Know About Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer’s Stripper Film
Set to be release on the big screen on July 1, 2015, "Magic Mike" sequel "Magic Mike XXL" started its production in Savannah, Georgia with director Gregory Jacobs. Sexier than its original film, lead stars Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello and Matt Bomer was spotted filming some steamy scenes for the comedy-drama flick.
Featuring the male strippers taking a road trip from Tampa to Myrtle Beach for a convention, Tatum will reprise his role as Magic Mike, Bomer as Ken and Manganiello as Big Dick Richie. Kevin Nash is scheduled to return as Tarzan, including Adam Rodriguez as Tito and Gabriel Iglesias as Tobias. Former stars of the movie, Matthew McConaughey and Alex Pettyfer, will not be returning for the second time around.
The hot actors who play exotic male dancers made a lot of buzz in Georgia's strip club called Mad Mary's on Tuesday, October 7, when they were spotted wearing a bicep-bearing tank tops. The "Jupiter Ascending" star was photographed wearing a grey top, faded blue jeans and his baseball cap, while the "White Collar" star was wearing a white form-fitting top with shorts.
Currently dating "Modern Family's" star Sofia Vergara, the former "True Blood" hunk was sporting a bandana and salt-and-pepper stubble. Tatum was seen leading the gang as they walk on the street while filming some of scenes for the movie, together with professional wrestler co-star, Nash.
The movie started filming on September 29 at the Savannah Gentleman's Club and move its location on Tybee Island on Sepember. 30. The new cast of the film includes Elizabeth Banks, Donald Glover, Amber Heard, Andie MacDowell, Jada Pinkett Smith and Michael Strahan. Playing a role made for a male actor, Smith confirmed her participation for the movie on Sept. 22.
The official movie plot reads: "Picking up the story three years after Mike bowed out of the stripper life at the top of his game, "Magic Mike XXL" finds the remaining Kings of Tampa likewise ready to throw in the towel."
"Magic Mike XXL" was penned by Channing Tatum himself and Reid Carolin. Stephen "tWtich" Boss is the newest member of the cast, a "So You Think You Can Dance" pro, he announced his casting to the stripping sequel at the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Oct. 8.
