Maisie Williams: Game of Thrones Actress Denied from British Airways Lounge, Express Frustration on Twitter
It may not be a good idea to upset the "Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams because the fighter and vengeful trait in the actress' character Arya Stark comes out. The 17-year-old actress was denied to enter the British Airways business class lounge because of her age and Maisie Williams expressed her frustration about the unpleasant experience on Twitter.
"Denied from the business lounge once again for being under 18 and without an adult... @British_Airways sort your s-t out," Williams posted on her Twitter account @Maisie_Williams on Sunday, July 20. The young actress continued to criticize the airline's policy on the social media site.
"I'm not saying I deserve special treatment," the actress argued. Maisie Williams further pointed out that the mature 16-18 years old will be able to sit down quietly in the lounge while they travel 5,400 miles around the world. According to the news.com.au report, singer Ed Sheeran showed support to the GoT actress via Twitter.
"Ah British Airways. You failed again," Sheeran tweeted. The Mail Online report claims British Airway responded to actress Maisie William's main complaint.
The airline apologized for the actress' disappointment but explained that the lounge guests must be 18 years old and above. Maisie Williams admitted that she fully understands the policy but continued to question the company why.
"Why can we travel alone but not use the lounge? It makes no sense," the actress asked. British Airways further clarified that the policy has something to do with the self-service complimentary bar at the business class lounge filled with alcohol and the staff is not able to monitor the services made round the clock.
Meanwhile, Maisie Williams is set to fly off soon to film the episodes for the HBO series "Game of Thrones" Season 5. When asked about what details she could give from the brand new season, the young actress revealed that she does not have anything to tease.
"Everything is top secret. There was a rumour we would get the scripts last week but we didn't," Williams shared to the Daily Star. According to the young star, the cast members of "Game of Thrones" normally receive the script two or three episodes at a time. Maisie Williams further added that the GoT cast and crew are doing well in keeping the details of Season 5 because nothing has been massively leaked out there.
