Wesley Warren Jr is now carrying 45 kg more than his weight because of an unusual scrotum swelling. The condition is known to be scrotal elephantiasis, a disease usually caused by parasitic infection that is normally common in tropical countries.

"It's not easy to get around; It makes me stay in most of the time.” Warren said. "I want to have real friends and a relationship with a woman,"
Though his situation is slowly killing his social life, Warren believes that he is too strong to be suicidal. He has to give up his normal life when he acquired the unusual condition three years ago. He remembered when he had an accident in 2008 and he literally suffered from non-stop scrotal pain. The next thing he knew is that his scrotum swelled to about a size of a soccer ball. Doctors gave him antibiotics but nothing happened.

Warren’s condition makes it hard for him to go to the bathroom and even walk. He is hoping to raise $1 million from donations and charity works so he can undergo a surgery to treat his condition. Warren believes that if he informs the public about his situation, it would be easier for him to earn the money needed for his operation.

He was even featured in some TV shows and to Howard Stern’s radio, disregarding the fact that people can make fun of his extraordinary condition. "I don't like being a freak, But I figured that the Stern show is listened to by millions of people and they might want to help me. I hope some millionaire or billionaire will want to help me who would?" said Warren.

Main Causes of Scrotal Elephantiasis

Elephantiasis is caused by the presence of microscopic and thread like worms like Brugia Malayi and Wuchereria bancrofti. These worms are carried by mosquitoes that are typically common in tropical countries of Asia and Africa.

The worm will target the human lymphatic system which later on will cause obstructions. When the lymphatic vessels are obstructed, lower torso will begin swelling. Legs can also be affected but most people suffer from swollen genitals.

On the other hand, people can also suffer from non parasitic elephantiasis. This is common to people like farmers or those with constant contact with clay soils or metals.

Warren believes that she had his elephantiasis when he accidentally caught his testicles while twisting his legs in bed.
