Actor Ben Affleck, who will grace the big screen as Batman in the "Man of Steel 2" film, is on schedule to get physically fit in portraying the character with the help of his trainer Rehan Jalali. According to the trainer's post on Twitter, the 41-year-old actor is going to be in shape as one "big bad dude" in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman flick.

According to the Design & Trend report, Rehan Jalali had previously trained Ben Affleck for his Boston bank robber role in the film titled "The Town." Now, the trainer works again with the actor in getting him fit and "more pumped than ever" after posting several Batman-related messages on his Twitter account @SixPackDietPlan.

The trainer sounds confident that Ben Affleck can pull off the character but can it convince the fans? The "Pearl Harbor" actor has been receiving a lot of criticisms after getting cast for the role opposite British actor Henry Cavill who portrays Superman in the film.

One criticism came from Seth Green who expressed his disappointment in the film's casting choice. The comedian and actor explained in an interview with Ora TV's "Larry King Now" that even though Ben Affleck has some acting chops, an older and more intimidating-looking actor would be appropriate in portraying Batman.

Meanwhile, another circulating report on the "Man of Steel 2" movie is about the decision of Warner Bros. to move the release date again. The Enstars report claims the "Batman vs. Superman" movie release date is going to be on April 29, 2016 instead of the initially scheduled May 6, 2016 to avoid competition with Marvel's "Captain America 3" film.

"There have been no official announcements by Warner Bros. that the release date for Man of Steel 2 has been changed. Assuming it is changed, it would be second move for the Batman-Superman film after originally being scheduled for July 17, 2015," the report reads. Actor Jeremy Irons, who portrays Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred Pennyworth, revealed that the script for the film has not even been finished yet so there is still a lot of work to be done on "Man of Steel 2."

The "Man of Steel 2" cast members include Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jesse Eisenberg as villain Lex Luthor, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent.
