Manchester United Clear To Sign Arturo Vidal For Bargain Price
Manchester United is close to signing Arturo Vidal for a bargain price, according to a report in La Tercera. The publication revealed that the deal between Manchester United and Juventus to sign the powerful midfielder is worth £32 million plus Patrice Evra to Juventus.
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal made Arturo Vidal his priority transfer target after he was appointed as squad boss, and now it appears that he is finally getting what he wants. In the past few days, Manchester United has been holding talks with Vidal's agent and is now very close to an agreement, which will be finalised after the World Cup.
The Red Devils undoubtedly needed a midfielder like Vidal, but back in the summer, Juventus kept its stance strong to keep the Chilean on its side. However, months later, things have changed for Vidal with the Series A champions.
The 27-year-old former Bayer Leverkusen star has been fined lately for partying with less than 72 hours before a clash with Roma. Since then, the Chilean warmed the bench until Old Lady's 3-2 victory.
Arturo Vidal allegedly wants to move to the Old Trafford because things are getting complicated with Juventus, according to a report in Daily Star. On the other hand, the report further claimed that the Italian champions have had enough and are fed up with the Chilean and want him out.
Juventus is reportedly ready to sell the football superstar for just £32 million, when all summer, the talk of a £42 million deal was being mentioned. If the latest reports are anything to go by, van Gal is clear to sign the midfielder for a bargain price.
Meanwhile, Metro reports that Arturo Vidal could arrive in Manchester United in exchange for Juan Mata. Juventus is allegedly ready to sell the midfielder in a swap deal involving Mata because it believes that Mata is an ideal candidate to take Vidal's place.
