Manchester United: Van Gaal Urges Supporters To Still Believe In His System After Suffering 4-0 Shellacking
Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal urged supporters to stretch their patience and still believe in his system after suffering from a 4-0 shellacking in the hands of MK Dons in the Capital One Cup.
The Red Devils conceded early, with Will Grigg finding the back of the net after 25 minutes, while the rest came during the later stretch of the second-half.
"It is very difficult when you start as a manager in the Premier League with a home loss and then a draw and then after that you lose in a cup match,"said the 63-year-old tactician.
"For the fans, it is very difficult to still believe in the philosophy of Louis van Gaal."
"But you have to do that because I am here and I am here to build up a new team. The process needs time."
The Dutchman disclosed that given the key addition of Angel di Maria, he will be able to make some necessary tweaks to put his side on a better position to come out with better results, moving forward.
"I have bought Di Maria because he can play inside and wide. It's very handy," he added.
"When I was coach at Bayern Munich, I bought Arjen Robben and he could also play on the wings and inside. Then I always had the opportunity to change."
