Manny Pacquiao, Brandon Rios Unrestrained By Losses [VIDEO]
Manny Pacquiao and Brandon Rios are reportedly undeterred by their previous losses. Manny Pacquiao, who lost to Tim Bradley in 2012 and to Juan Manuel Marquez in December of the same year, was asked about his losses with HBO 24/7.
Pacquiao noted that although his previous fights were "officially losses", they did not have "a huge impact" on the boxer. Manny Pacquiao said that he accepts the decision of the judges.
Pacquiao recounted that when he fought Timothy Bradley that he [Pacquiao] dominated the fight. Pacquiao added, "Compare those [feelings] to the reaction Bradley faced from the same people. He certainly did not get treated like a conquering champion. Those are his words, not mine. As for me, it did not really affect me and I was eager to move forward."

The first episode of HBO's "24/7: Pacquiao vs. Rios" also focused on the crushing knockout of the Filipino boxer to Julian Manuel Marquez. Pacquiao who has been frequently told by experts that he should end his boxing career said in 24/7, "I'm inspired right now because they think my boxing career is over...I'm not done yet."
Brandon Rios answered the same question in the training blog. The Texas-born Mexican-American light-welterweight boxer was undefeated for almost a decade but lost to Alvarado in their rematch in March 2013. Although he lost to Alvarado, Rios said, "To me, boxing is better than sex. That's how bad I love it."
Rios, trained by Roberto Garcia a former super featherweight champion (IBF), has a stellar record as an amateur. At 125 lbs, Rios was an Olympic alternate for the United States. He signed with Top Rank after becoming the U.S. National Amateur Featherweight champion. By the latter part of 2009, Brandon Rios won against Manuel Perez on the 7th round - it was a T.K.O victory.
Like Manny Pacquiao, Brandon Rios is a family man. He married in August 2010 and has two children with his wife Victoria Lopez. Rios also has two more kids with a previous partner.
Manny Pacquiao and Brandon Rios are set to fight in the ring for the WBO International Welterweight title in Macau on November 23, 2013.
