David Blaine’s expertise is on illusions and magic but that did not stop the entertainer from sharing his opinion on the topic of which is the best boxer of all time saying that Manny Pacquiao is “the greatest fighter that ever lived.”

Blaine was interviewed by GMA News TV during the magician’s visit to Pacquiao’s hometown in General Santos City, Philippines.

“Like Muhammad Ali, he’s an artist. He’s self-analytical. He thinks about things differently, he’s an intellectual. When geniuses apply that to any art form, either it’s fighting or magic or painting, it becomes something that lives forever,” Blaine, a self-confessed Pacquiao fan, said in the video.

The 41-year-old magician made the visit to Pacquiao after a show in Manila, the capital of the country. As per most reactions on Twitter and those who watched the Blaine event, the Filipinos, like Pacquiao were in awe of Blaine’s magic tricks.

For his part, Blaine was appreciative of his visit to the Philippines, the final stop of his world tour.

Pacquiao, who is also the elected representative in the Philippine congress, is currently training for his fight on Nov. 22, 2014 against American Chris Algieri.

Blaine’s take on the hierarchy of boxing greats should not be taken seriously, after all, everything could just be an illusion.
