Manny Pacquiao is still rigorously training for his upcoming fight against American boxer Brandon Rios. The fight is set to take place on Nov 23 at the Venetian Macao Resort and Hotel in Macau.

Pacquiao is currently in his hometown General Santos City, where he is doing most of his trainings. This is very unusual for the Filipino boxer because he would not normally be training in the Philippines, especially if the date of the fight is near. However, he opted to remain in his country.

As reported by Ring TV, Pacquiao, who has lost his last two fights, is ready to fight Rios. "I have had the most harmonious training camp that I can think of," said Pacquiao. "I realised over the past year that I have to get over my losses to Bradley and Marquez, and I appreciate boxing even more now," he said. "I love boxing and I can't wait to get back on the ring and show everyone that Manny is back," said Pacquaio. "I am looking forward to give the fans a great show on Nov. 23," he concluded.

On Friday, the Philippines was struck by a devastating and dreadful catastrophe. Super typhoon Haiyan had swept through the island leaving death and damages in its aftermath. Pacquiao and his team weren't really affected by the said natural disaster.

Even so, Pacquiao will surely feel sad and heartbroken. The Philippine Red Cross has already estimated at total of 1,200 deaths. You can imagine who the tragedy can be distressing for the Filipino boxer.

However, despite the unfortunate event, Pacquiao is hopeful to win to bring joy to his fellow Filipinos. But the American boxer will certainly not make it easy for the eight-division champion to win, so Pacquiao has to be back on his game if he wants to prevail.
