Manny Pacquiao Says He Will Never Be Frustrated If The Fight Against Floyd Mayweather Jr Doesn’t Happen
Manny Pacquiaio has been chasing a fight with undefeated fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr to give fans the bout that they have been longing to witness. Even so, the eight-division world champion revealed in a recent interview that he will never be frustrated if the fight against Mayweather doesn't come to fruition.
"I'll never be frustrated if the Floyd fight doesn't happen," Pacquaio told The Telegraph Sport. "Though I'm ready to fight him anytime, anywhere, it's him who refuses," Pacquiao added.
Pacquiao said that he has stated his case. He has revealed to the world his intention to fight Mayweather, so it is up to the unbeaten boxer to make the fight finally come true, the reigning World Boxing Organization welterweight champion said.
According to Pacquiao, he is happy with the legacy that he has made in the sport of boxing. He said that he has already made his name in the sport even if he doesn't face Mayweather in the boxing ring. The only reason why Pacquiao wants to fight Mayweather is to give entertainment to the boxing fans all over the world. He added that if the anticipated fight between him and Mayweather finally take place, it would be good for the sport.
Pacquiao has challenged Mayweather and said that the undefeated boxer is the one who refuses to fight him. He said that Mayweather has a lot of excuses. The Filipino boxing icon said it would be best for Mayweather to just stop talking and make the fight happen. Pacquiao made it clear that he is just a phone call away and he's keeping his lines open for negotiation.
Pacquiao also took a jab at Mayweather's spiritual path. He said that he pities Mayweather for focusing on worldly passions in life. Pacquiao said that Mayweather is lost on the spiritual path.
Pacquiao said that he has no idea how long he will fight. One thing is for sure, he would be retiring in the coming years and he is more than willing to fight anyone in the boxing ring.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao and his entire entourage have arrived in Macau ahead of the fight against Chris Algieri. Pacquiao's entourage, which consists of trainers, sparring partners, business advisors, political associates, supporters from his professional basketball team, family, friends, and neighbours, arrived on Nov. 17.
Pacquiao will face Algieri on Nov. 22 at The Venetian Macao. Pacquiao reportedly will get at least $25 million prize money and a minimum of $100 million if he wins against the undefeated New Yorker.
